This workshop takes a closer look at the deeper nature of the heart and blood. Blood is said by some embryologists to be the first organ formed in the embryo. It is a fundamental transport medium and communication network in the body, a field of mobile potency. Blood is utilized by the nervous, endocrine, immune, and other systems to continuously serve the quest for equilibrium in the body.

The heart has captivated humankind like no other organ. It is said to be the home of the mind and location of our deepest sense of self. Primary respiration often reveals the heart to be a deep well of stillness and peace. We find that the heart actually acts in the service of blood, regulating the inherent motion and potency found in the blood field itself.

Areas of consideration:

  • Palpation of key vessels of the cardiovascular system
  • Capillaries as gateways into deep neutrality and stillness
  • Primary Respiration and the blood ocean
  • ANS and circulation

The heart as viewed through physiology and the world’s spiritual traditions.
